Mobile preschool ‘fun academy on wheels’ in war-affectedareas of Ukraine: a pilot study of psychological rehabilitationand school readiness

The ongoing war in Ukraine has dramatically affected the lives of millions of children,disrupting access to education, social interaction, and emotional security. Preschoolersfrom the front line and reoccupied areas of the Kherson region have faced displacement,chronic stress, and the loss of safe learning environments. Forced displacement and pro-longed exposure to insecurity constitute chronic stressors that negatively affect children’semotional development, attention, and learning capacity (Betancourt and Khan 2022).
